What is a real estate broker?
A real estate broker is someone who continues their education past the real estate agent level and successfully receives a state real estate broker license.
What is a broker vs. realtor?
Real estate agents are licensed to facilitate real estate transaction and work for brokerages. Brokers have advanced industry training and have the option to work as a real estate broker or run a brokerage.
Can a real estate agent work for multiple brokers?
No. Real estate agents are only permitted to work for one brokerage at a time.
How to look at MLS listings?
Review all of its content in detail. Once you are comfortable with reading an MLS report you’ll be all set as they all follow the same format. A few specifics to look out for are annual taxes, DOM (days on market), Possession Date, Occupied (vacant, tenant, owner), heating/cooling, room sizes and descriptions, clients remarks and extras section. Be sure to ask you agent for help!

You’ll find all MLS listings on realtor.ca. You can search listings by using the MLS number, the Neighbourhood, Price point or specifics such as number of bedrooms.
